HPV Vaccination
Human papillomavirus (HPV) vaccination is a highly effective preventive measure to reduce the risk of cervical cancer and other HPV-related cancers.
Considerations:
- Safe and Well-Tolerated: HPV vaccines have been shown to be safe and well-tolerated. Common side effects are generally mild and temporary.
- Continued Screening: HPV vaccination does not eliminate the need for cervical cancer screening (Pap smear and HPV testing) in women, as the vaccines do not protect against all high-risk HPV types.
- Preventive Action: HPV vaccination is a proactive step in preventing cervical cancer and other HPV-related cancers, offering long-term protection when administered according to recommended schedules.
