CuT insertion

The CuT (Copper T) is a type of intrauterine device (IUD) used for contraception. It is a T-shaped device that is inserted into the uterus to provide long-term birth control. The CuT releases copper ions, which are toxic to sperm and prevent fertilization.

Advantages of CuT Insertion:

  • Long-Lasting Contraception: The CuT provides effective contraception for several years and can be removed at any time if you decide you want to become pregnant or switch to another contraceptive method.
  • Hormone-Free: The CuT is a hormone-free birth control option, making it suitable for individuals who wish to avoid hormonal contraception.
  • Reversible: Fertility typically returns shortly after the CuT is removed.
  • Convenience: Once inserted, you don't need to think about contraception on a daily or monthly basis.
